Get to know perfect angel girl Chloe Cherry

Get to know Euphoria star Chloe Cherry.

With the death of hustle culture, the girl boss and an undeniable vibe shift we find our heart warming towards the bimbo. We don't mean this disparagingly, we love a bimbo! Just like the himbo and the thembo, they know who they are and they're not trying to prove themselves to anyone. It's refreshing. And if the good folks of bimbo town had a high priestess, it would surely be creative multi-hyphenate Chloe Cherry.

It's now been more than a year since Euphoria season two graced our screens, but it appears that breakout star Cherry is not interested in leaving the peripheries of our attention. And we're certainly not complaining. Doe-eyed and switching between dissociative pout and sweetheart smile, we have a soft spot for her.

Like all bimbos, there's so much more to be found under the surface. So whether you came to her via our favourite crew of angsty teens or by way of her recent romp through the world of fashion, we're exploring the many layers of Chloe Cherry below.

She was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania

Let's start with the important stuff first. Born on August 23, 1997, Chloe Cherry is a certified Virgo and is just like this author in that she's a geriatric Gen Z.

Both her parents are visual artists and their influence was apparent in Cherry from a young age who was always interested in creation. Although, the actor told Paper that she felt like she hadn't inherited any "technical skill" and found herself drawn to collaging instead, as she found it therapeutic and reflective.

She wears many hats

Chloe Cherry may only be 25-years-old but she's packed a lot of experience into a short amount of time. As a teenager she was a theatre-kid and dancer and thrived when performing, telling Grazia that she never felt nervous about being on-stage or in front of a camera. She studied improv and found it suited the way her brain works.

Just like most teens, Cherry dreamed of leaving conservative Pennsylvania. The adult entertainment industry was a way for her to do this, seeing it as a stepping stone that would allow her to move to Los Angeles. Previously known as Chloe Couture, the actor starred in over 200 adult films during her time in the industry, a period that came to an end following her rise to fame with Euphoria. Cherry said she never saw herself working in porn past the age of 20 as it's hard on your body.

She was scouted for Euphoria over Instagram

Like the rest of us, Cherry was a Euphoria fan from the beginning, so much so she pitched and starred in an adult film based off the series where she played Jules. It is said that it was this appearance that caught Levinson's eye, but Cherry busted this rumour, instead revealing that she was scouted for the series on Instagram.

At first she believed it was a scam, then when she was staying at her mum's house they asked her to record herself reading lines from the film Hustle & Flow which then led to an in-person audition. When we met with Sam Levinson, he told Cherry that he had decided to audition her after watching (and loving) her Instagram stories.

Her infamous pout landed her a gig as the new face of Urban Decay's lipstick line

Cherry dealt with a barrage of hurtful comments about her 'unnatural' lip filler after her breakout role on Euphoria. But Cherry's not one to conform nor stay down, and flipped the conversation by becoming the face of Urban Decay's new lipstick line.

The fashion world is equally obsessed

Part of Cherry's allure is her ditzy, sugary and anime-inspired aesthetic. It's e-girl but cutesy. During her time in the adult entertainment industry she made an effort to maintain this specific style which became her signature look and set her apart from other performers. Meanwhile, on set at Euphoria Faye's style was a collaborative effort between her and costume designer Heidi Bivens, who asked Cherry to bring in pieces from her own wardrobe in the same way she did with Hunter Schafer for Jules.

Cherry's unique look has caught the attention of the fashion world and since her appearance in Euphoria she's made many cameos, most notably during the fall winter 2022 fashion season. She famously walked for Blumarine at Milan Fashion Week and GCDS, and she attended shows like Maryam Nassir Zadeh, David Koma and Chet Lo decked out completely in the designer's looks. Going forward she is definitely one to watch.

She'll be gracing the silver screen in an upcoming sci-fi drama

In her first acting project since Euphoria, Cherry has booked herself a role in Peter Vack's new film www.RachelOrmant.com. Alongside podcaster-turned-actor Dasha Nekrasova (of Succession fame) and Betsey Brown (who previously worked with Vack on his film Assholes in 2017), the film is supposedly a "psychedelic technosatire about growing up in captivity". We're excited to see what Cherry pulls out of the bag for her big screen debut.

She'll star with SZA in Eddie Huang's upcoming film

Cherry has confirmed a role in Eddie Huang's upcoming feature film Tuna Melt, alongside SZA (in her acting debut). Although Cherry's role isn't clear at this stage, the movie is set to premise Huang in a leading role, playing a hitman fresh from a breakup that is swept off his feet by a new love interest.

She opened up about her experiences in adult film on Em Rata's podcast

Cherry has always been incredibly candid about her time spent working in the adult film world, and recently opened up about her experiences in the industry on Emily Ratajkowski's podcast High Low. Comparing her time in porn to her experience in the hospitality industry, Cherry lamented that she "felt so much more respected in porn than in a restaurant."

She wants to star in a horror film next

With so much steam gathering around Chloe Cherry, everyone is hungry to know her next move. Chloe Cherry has indicated that she wants to stay in acting now that she's had her big break. Although, next she would love to star in a horror film, possibly as a villain.

"Isn’t it funny that I want to do horror so badly?" she told Grazia. "I would also like to get more involved in the comedy world. I’d love to do something with Bo Burnham, like a full-length mockumentary that’s entirely improvised. That’s where I think I’d be funniest." Given the deadpan and often absurd comedy of Cherry in Euphoria, and knowing that she ad-libbed lines like, "Do you and your son fuck people together?” we can't help but agree.
