The age of Jonah Hill is upon us

Jonah Hill

Jonah Hill continues to get exponentially hotter every time he reemerges into the public eye, and it feels as though the 37-year-old actor has reached his sexiest stage of metamorphosis to date. It's all in the zen dad summer energy, and we are noticing, as appearances of a tanned, bleach blonde, tie dye shirt wearing Hill begin to tally, we have finally moved into a new stage of simping for male celebrities: The age of Jonah Hill.

While the physical shift in appearance is certainly something to behold, it scratches the surface of Jonah Hill's appeal, which is solidified in his pledge to emotional self-betterment and an aspirational commitment to mental health. Yes, the bar is morbidly low, but Hill is working it like Simone Biles' on the uneven bars, and we are lapping every moment up. It started with an Instagram post where the actor shamed the Daily Mail for posting imagery of him surfing and shirtless in Malibu, where he expressed that he no longer felt phased by the media's mockery of his body - a triumphant response to years of relentless criticism.

Then, it felt like he was everywhere. Hot Hill summer in full activation as he started dating a surfing teacher, his beard got blonder (!!), he got a cute body positive tattoo, and his love for transcendental meditation, as he recently told GQ, got deeper. He has now reached the stage where funny, successful man meets self-aware man, and things become quite glorious, especially on the front of our collective crush on Hill.

In the same interview, he proclaimed that he is not so much chasing trends anymore, rather, “just chasing humanity”. He noted that he no longer thinks you have to be miserable to be a good artist. "I got healthier, my art got better, and I was happier. Straight up. I haven’t seen misery bring better art out of anybody. I just haven’t." He told interviewer Adam McKay, and shared many details about his therapist. Which we will infinitely want to know more about. In an age where famous men like Jeff Bezos are wreaking havoc on our mental state with his relentless pursuit of capitalist gain and not solving world hunger, Jonah Hill is a breath of fresh air, and we can't wait to see what he does next.
