The good folk of Simp Town have caught a new sighting of their mayor, Timothée Chalamet

Timothée Chalamet Cannes

Cannes Film Festival 2021 has been taking place for a week now, and the red carpet looks so far have been simply a moment. But no moment could prepare us for that of Timothée Chalamet's red carpet appearance for the premiere of Wes Anderson's The French Dispatch. To serve feels like a very 2019 phrase, but Chalamet served himself up on the closest thing to a silver platter, and we're gobbling him the f**k up.

And he knew what he was doing! In an Instagram post Chalamet shared of his outfit today, he wore a silver holographic Tom Ford suit with a white shirt, white leather boots and sunglasses, writing, "I don’t pop molly" That is all! No further questions, Mr. Chalamet.

From the images shared, Chalamet was feeling himself, and as his first red carpet appearance in months, how can we blame him? A film with stellar reviews already, a fandom that would lay down their lives for him, and walking the red carpet hand-in-hand with Tilda Swinton, looking like the mother-son duo of everyone's dreams. Are there enough words in the english language to express our joy at the below image?

As mentioned, Timothée Chalamet was in Cannes to celebrate the premiere of The French Dispatch, perhaps the most anticipated film of 2020 and 2021 combined, which has already garnered sweeping critical acclaim for Anderson's recent filmic debut. The French Dispatch is essentially a tribute to the New Yorker magazine, focussing on publishing and journalism in a fictional 20th-century French city, and stars one of the heftiest a-list castings we've ever laid eyes upon with  Timothée Chalamet, Frances McDormand, Bill Murray Benicio Del Toro, Léa Seydoux, Adrien Brody, Tilda Swinton, Owen Wilson, Elisabeth Moss, Jeffrey Wright, Willem Dafoe, Anjelica Houston, Saoirse Ronan and Liev Schreiber all featuring throughout.
