We matched the characters from ‘Bridgerton’ with their star signs and yes, Kate is a Taurus

Well we had to do something while we wait for Bridgerton season three. And yes, we do mean season three. We gobbled up the most recent offering of Bridgerton in just one weekend. Do we regret it? Not in the slightest, the sexual tension between Kate Sharma and Anthony Bridgerton will feed us for at least another year. And don't get us started on baby Eloise and her hulking printer boy. Anyway, back to the point. We've consulted the stars and after much agonising, we produced this list; a round up of all our favourite Bridgerton characters and their respective star signs. Read with pleasure and for those who are yet to binge the entire season, proceed with caution there are spoilers ahead.

Capricorn: Anthony Bridgerton

It's no coincidence that the character who has given us the horn is in fact the goat of the zodiac. With Saturn as Capricorn's ruling planet, our Vicount's greatest struggle is with authority. And no, not authority as an act of rebellion, but authority as something one is saddled with from childhood. Anthony being the eldest and, in the wake of his father's untimely death, the head of the Bridgerton family, he's taken on this responsibility with an impenetrable stoicism and can come across as overly mature or serious for his age. It's this, and also his direct and sometimes ruthless approach to communication that has us convinced our hunky Vicount is a pent up Capricorn. We love him all the same.

Aquarius: Eloise Bridgerton

Obsessed with ideas and with her head always planted in a book, Eloise is a textbook Aquarius. In a society where marriage is the greatest milestone a woman can achieve, Eloise's indifference to the institution marks her as an outsider. She fraternises with those of lower rank, reads Mary Wollstonecraft, roughouses with her brothers and critiques Lady Whistledown's penchant for gossip. When Eloise inevitably decides to break away from her upper class existence (hopefully in season three) know that we'll be watching on with bated breath.

Pisces: Edwina Sharma

Part of Edwina's struggle this season is navigating what feelings are her own and what are her sisters. As a Pisces this is a common question they must contend with, as their capacity for empathy is both their biggest strength but can lead to confusion and a lack of identity. As a slippery fish, Edwina finds it easy to move between different social settings, moulding herself to fit the room at hand, this means that sometimes as Daphne Bridgerton pointed out, it can feel like you hardly know the Pisces. What's more is that Pisces are prone to getting swept up in fantasy and delusion, as Edwina did with the Vicount, but her intuition acts as an anchor dragging her back to reality. And if you needed further evidence, look at Edwina's Piscean flair for healing and compassion, something we saw as she forgave her sister and diffused that moment between the King and Queen.

Aries: Lady Danbury

Lady Danbury is here to get things done. Her house is in order and as she reminds Kate, she has lived! But that doesn't mean she's about to stand by and watch as others fail to take action. In fact, like most Aries action comes natural to them; but they must discern between instinct and impulse. Taking a promenade just after a disastrous wedding? Think again. Sensing that Kate and the Vicount are madly in love? Don't keep them apart. This season of Bridgerton, Lady Danbury and Lady Bridgerton's scheming isn't quite as successful as they would have hoped. Reminding us that you can't force love, no matter how much pressure you apply.

Taurus: Kate Sharma

Some will say stubborn, the rest of us who are obsessed with Kate will excuse it as determination. Either way, we know a Taurean when we see one. As a Taurus, Kate has a deep understanding of beauty, and what makes something seem so. That's partly why she's invested in nurturing the interests, sensibilities and tastes of her younger sister Edwina. Pair this with her desire for security and safety (fetched through a promised sum from the Sheffields) and Kate will dig her heels in to ensure a desired result, even if this means denying her own aspirations for love. Paint her as controlling, we see it as armour.

Gemini: Madame Delacroix

A trickster, if only for survival. Madame Delacroix is best summed up through the twins of the zodiac. The duality of Delacroix is most obvious through her French accent; a trait taken on to woo the upper class women who would otherwise snub her dressmaking services as a result of her lower rank. We love a hustler, especially one this versatile. Plus, the woman loves to gossip (we can relate), a classic Gemini marker that gets lost in all the serial killer narratives.

Cancer: Lady Featherington

Now let us see. Lady Featherington, a woman that will go to any lengths to protect the wealth and status of her family, even if it means marrying one of her daughters off to a cousin? She has to be a Cancer. Things have been unsteady in the Featherington household for quite some time, which is enough to throw off any Cancer whose homelife is its utmost priority. As a result, we haven't been getting the best side of Lady Featherington, who is constantly wallowing and poised to lash out at a moments notice. We're just glad she tossed out that creepy cousin. It's the best decision she's made all season.

Leo: Queen Charlotte

Perhaps the easiest connect to make. Queen Charlotte is without question a Leo. A natural leader with a flair for authenticity and generosity of spirit, Queen Charlotte knows how to put on a show and she has the wig collection to prove it. The downside to this is that validation is what feeds her. And with Lady Whistledown questioning her decisions at every opportunity, our boisterous Leo has begun to doubt herself and so, we can sense her confidence slipping (see: the abrupt change in naming the season's diamond).

Virgo: Lady Violet Bridgerton

Only a Virgo could muster up dressing down a doctor in the midst of giving birth and experiencing tremendous grief. And as we know, Anthony Bridgerton may officially be the head of his family, but it's his mother's excessive planning and watchful eye that ensures the Bridgerton unit doesn't fall to pieces. Although she finds herself stretched to her utmost limits this season, what with Anthony's pursuit of a spouse, Eloise rubbing shoulders with political 'extremists' and the barrage of scandal and gossip. Someone quick! Grab her a list.

Libra: Daphne Bridgerton

What makes a diamond? All the traits of a Libra it appears. Daphne Bridgerton won Queen Charlotte over in season one with her natural grace, accommodating personality, diplomacy and her eye for beauty. And what could drag Daphne Bridgerton, the Libra archetype, away from her toddler and supremely handsome husband? A need for balance, that's what. Is a Libra ever truly at peace if their loved ones are fighting, or say, their oldest brother is denying his heart? Riddle me this.

Scorpio: Duke of Hastings

Let's not even pretend this was a decision we had to make. I can feel The Duke of Hastings (and/or Regé-Jean Page's) scalding hot Scorpio energy in my damn loins. You don't need me to tell you the guy is a sex symbol, you saw it with your own eyes in season one. What you also saw was that like most Scorpios, the Duke has a hard time trusting. Especially as he is still intensely tethered to past trauma like his father's early rejection of him as a child. This can account for his promise to never bear a child, although as often happens, Scorpio's plots for vengeance end up hurting themselves the most. Through his relationship with Daphne we see him begin to unpack these experiences, allowing himself to be vulnerable and lean into love.

Sagittarius: Penelope Featherington

Inhibited in countless ways, be it through her family's reputation or her lack of agency, this Sagittarius satiates her desire for freedom and experience through the creation of Lady Whistledown. Through Whistledown Penelope Featherington has mobility, respect and the power to stir up the conservative society she exists in. Through Lady Whistledown she feels most powerful. What's more, the salacious paper provides an outlet to make sense of high society and acts as a distraction for Penn and her cherished bestie Eloise.
