Comedian, social media star and all-around content queen Ziwe Fumudoh is giving the people what they want. By this, we mean more! Content! and Fumudoh is very generously obliging with the news that she will be working on a new series entitled The Nigerian Princess.

According to Variety, who broke the news, the show will premiere on Amazon and follows a “wise-beyond-her-years” graduate named Zoe who, struggling under a burden of student debt, decides to 'collaborate' with a local con artist in a last-resort effort to make money. As suspected, things do not go as planned in the realm of scamming, and the two end up in a kind of scam-war with one another.

“Beyond excited!!!!” Fumudoh wrote about the news via Twitter. While there is no confirmed release date yet or further cast details, we'll be updating upon any developments.

Ziwe Fumudoh will write and create the series alongside Will Graham and Hailey Wierengo of Field Trip as executive producers. Janelle Monáe, Chuck Lightning, Mikael Moore, and Nate Wonder's company Wondaland Pictures, will serve alongside as executive producers on the series.

For those who cannot wait, her upcoming book of essays, The Book of Ziwe, is due to land in February 2022. If you haven't already, check out her comedic and poignant variety series, Ziwe, a "no-holds-barred mix of musical numbers, interviews and sketches that challenge America’s discomfort with race, politics, & other cultural issues." which can be found on showtime and on YouTube and features guests like Phoebe Bridgers and Fran Lebowitz (!!). She has also been named one of Forbes’ 30 Under 30 for 2021.
