With the excitement of the Oscars just around the bend, we couldn't forget about its big awards show precursor, the Screen Actors Guild. In years past, it's often this particular award ceremony that dictates who takes home the gold on Hollywood's big night. Taking place on Sunday, the 27th of February, the show will be shedding light on the best performances of the year – and the full list of SAG Award nominations for 2022 have finally been released.
Proving great news for us here, with four of our own Aussies nominated on the night. Nicole Kidman is up for outstanding performance by a female actor in her role for Being the Ricardos. Cate Blanchett has also received a nod in her supporting role for Nightmare Alley. Sarah Snook looks to be a leading contender for her performance in the hit show Succession. While actor Kody Smit-Mcphee has received a nomination in the western drama film, The Power of the Dog. A film that was surprisingly overlooked considering the nominations of all his costars, including Kirsten Dunst and Benedict Cumberbatch.
