10 luxury fashion favourites from RUSSH in August 2021

Maybe it's to do with what's written in the stars, maybe it's not. Either way August has been a strange month. With the COVID-19 pandemic still soaring and monopolising our way of life in cities across Australia, and much of our country still in lockdown - the fantasy realm that only luxury can inspire has taken over the RUSSH editors search engines of late.

This month's luxury round up feels much like a returning to the classics, the minimal, the simple and neutrals. Because as you can imagine, we are still in the days of dreaming of our late nights out rather than actually living them, so even in the world of luxury, one can't help but still stay trapped in the era of comfort and simplicity.

I wanted luxury for the month of August to sit somewhere between feeling aspirational but still accessible. Quaint sterling silver pieces of jewellery by Gucci and Celine, that lends towards masc but still a feminine sensibility. A good pair of blue jeans will never go amiss and unappreciated, and this month we have landed on the perfect flare brought to us by Christian Dior. Most desired footwear for August still lives in the world of flats and comfort, however we couldn't help ourselves go past a multi-coloured patterned pair by the Parisians at Lemaire.
