Celine Homme SS 22 takes on seismic rave with Cosmic Cruiser

Cue artist Izzy Camina’s track “Up N Down,” and cut to an exclusive Celine motor cross ramp. What one could dub as creative director Heidi Slimane's finest work, we are transported to a world of aerial tricks and neo psychedelics for Celine Homme SS 22.

Subtleties lie all therein, as what we have come to know and love as Slimane's waifish models march out one by one. Somewhat hauntingly beautiful, playful and chic, Heidi Slimane and Celine Homme invite you to their very own neo rave soiree. With the show set in Île du Grand Gaou in the south of France, FMX riders from FMX4EVER ride alongside the catwalk as boys donned in black leather pants, rhinestoned vests, mirrored glasses and sequin shirts parade down Celine's pitch black runway.

In true Heidi Slimane fashion, the show pays tribute to the tasteful notes of 70s glam rock, however in this collection, also harnessing a bohemian flair. The show staged a visual feast of signature themes in Slimane's Celine leather, with the return of Slimane's infamous stovepipe pants and boots, followed by a big debut of ready-to-wear emblazoned in diamontes, denim and rhinestones for Cosmic Cruiser.

Bomber jackets, Hawaiian prints and foil like fabrics also made its runway debut, with boys in sweatshirts and studded chokers encompassing the defiantly raw and youthful energy we have come to love and know of Slimane's Celine.

With everything from the set design, casting and styling all carried out by Heidi Slimane, Cosmic Cruiser explores the creative directors true vision for the house, truly exploring his fascination with motor cross sports, in which Slimane's been documenting for years throughout his infamous photo diaries.
