The universe must have known we were in desperate need of a serotonin hit when it shared the first photos of Adam Driver and Lady Gaga in the upcoming House of Gucci film. Decked head-to-toe in the après ski ensembles of our dreams, the duo channels total Gucci power to the fullest extent. What did we do to deserve such a generous gift this miserable Wednesday morning?
The highly-anticipated film follows the true tale of the Gucci dynasty; and its subsequent momentary downfall – following the assassination of Maurizio Gucci. The former head of fashion at the luxury fashion house, and grandson of Guccio Gucci is being portrayed by Driver; while Gaga takes on the role of Patrizia Reggiani – his ex-wife.
If like us, you're thrilled for the release of this Ridley Scott masterpiece, we've collated every detail we know so far about the House of Gucci film plus the trailer, below.
What is House of Gucci about?
House of Gucci follows the real-life events around the assassination of Guccio Gucci’s grandson, Maurizio, on the front steps of his Milan office. The Italian businessman's ex-wife, Patrizia Reggiani, was later tried and convicted for orchestrating his murder in 1995; a decision she made in anger after he chose to leave her for a younger woman. She subsequently spent 18 years in prison, earning herself the ominous nickname of Black Widow.
The first official posters for House of Gucci have been released
Overnight, Instagram went into a collective meltdown over the release of the House of Gucci official film posters. On one side, you have Lady Gaga looking like an absolute, power-obsessed queen; then, we have the impeccably chiseled jaw of Adam Driver in another; and to finish it all off, a completely unrecognisable Jared Leto. But don't take our word for it, see it all for yourself in the posters below.

Do we have a trailer yet?
Yes, we do. It's just the one for now, featured above. But we're sure there will be more.
We have also been treated to a first look at Driver and Gaga as Mr. and Mrs. Gucci; and honestly, did we expect anything less? Driver is wrapped eloquently in the 'preppy' trend of the season – a lush cable knit sweater – while Gaga can be seen dressed head-to-toe in black; donning an appropriately-excessive selection of gold jewellery and accessories.
All we can say is come winter, you can guarantee that we'll be sporting these luxe ensembles.
Who is set to star in the House of Gucci film?
Although we're already aware of Driver and Gaga's involvement, they only make up a small portion of this star-studded cast. A formidable trio; Al Pacino, Jared Leto and Jeremy Irons will also be joining Scott's film.
With the Alien director at the helm, the script has been written by Roberto Bentivegna based on Sara Gay Forden's 2000 novel, The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed.
House of Gucci marks Gaga's first film role following her Oscar-nominated performance in A Star Is Born. If the first image of the artist as Reggiani is anything to go by, her portrayal of the character is sure to be otherworldly.
What is the expected release date?
Although we are still awaiting confirmation, House of Gucci has reportedly been slated for a November 24 release; and best believe we'll be ordering pre-sale tickets.
