Le Labo welcomes Ambroxyde 17 into its family of classic candles

We're all suckers for home fragrances at RUSSH. That being said, the team is also very selective of the smells we allow into our safe spaces. One brand we find ourselves reaching for time and time again is Le Labo and the New York parfumerie has just unveiled a new scent to get behind. In keeping with its long-established naming format, the candle is entitled Ambroxyde 17 and it can be enjoyed all year round.

So what's in it? Ambroxyde 17 revolves around a synthetic molecule known as Ambroxan or Ambroxide, an "arresting, can't-quite-find-the-right-word-for-it smell" according to Le Labo. In recent years the molecule has been favoured over Ambergris, which is produced in the digestive system of sperm whales, as a cruelty-free alternative. Given the presence of Ambroxide, long-standing admirers of the brand will note the similarities between the new candle and personal fragrance ANOTHER 13, which alone, has garnered a cult following.

Other fragrance notes include musk, jasmine petals and moss for an uplifting finish.

If you're eager to add Ambroxyde 17 to your lineup of Santal 26 and Palo Santo 14, go right ahead. The candle is available for purchase immediately and retails for $120. You can explore the new candle, along with other cult favourites from the New York parfumerie at the Le Labo website.
