All the winners at the 2023 Golden Globes

golden globes 2023

After a patchy few years, the Golden Globes will return in 2023 and is intent on restoring its image.

In case you need to be brought up to speed, in February 2021 the Los Angeles Times led an investigation into the HFPA – the organisation behind the Golden Globes – and its findings pointed to an extreme lack of diversity and transparency. The fallout was considerable; NBC terminated its contract to air the awards ceremony in 2022 after 25 years, celebrities boycotted the event, and Tom Cruise even returned all of his prior Golden Globes in protest.

However, things are looking up for the Golden Globes in 2023. While there will still be deliberate absences – The Whale nominee, Brendan Fraser, has publicly stated he will not attend given the allegation that Philip Berk, former president and member of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, groped him in 2003 – NBC will once again broadcast the awards on 10 January, 2023. So what can we expect from the Golden Globes this year? Everything we know, below.

Where can I watch the Golden Globes in Australia?

Streaming platform Stan has won the broadcasting rights for the Golden Globes in Australia, which checks out as several of its Stan Exclusives have received nominations. To tune in, simply head over to Stan at 11am AEDT on Wednesday 11 January and watch the coverage live as it happens in the US.

Is there a place to see the red carpet?

As always, we're here to report on the best red carpet moments from the Golden Globes. This year, Emma D'Arcy, Letitia Wright and Natasha Lyonne won us over with their respective looks. See them for yourself, here.

Who will host the awards?
