After presenting at the Oscars together, Academy Award nominees Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield will co-star in a new project. Yay. Deadline reports the that duo are in negotiations to star in StudioCanal's love story We Live In Time. Excitement was already building as the two presented the screenwriting honours to The Daniels. Little did we know that a rom-com was already in the works. I mean it's a raunchy pairing if I've ever seen one. The two have never worked on a project together but judging from their off set energy, it's going to be steamy.
Who is involved in 'We Live in Time'?
So far, we know that John Crowley who last worked on BBC's Life After Lie is on board to direct, with Nick Payne writing the script. Benedict Cumberbatch will executive produce.
Do we know what the film will be about?
The details around the plot are being kept pretty tightly sealed. Deadline has reported that it's being described as "a funny deeply moving and immersive love story."
What else have Pugh and Garfield got in the works before 'We Live in Time' comes out?
After Netflix's The Wonder, Pugh's next films to drop are A good person, Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer and Dune Part Two alongside Timmy in November. Next up, she will shoot for Marvel Studio's Thunderbolts where she will reprise her role as Yelena Belova.
For Garfield who is just coming off the FX limited series, Under the Banner of Heaven, for which he earned an Emmy and Sag Award nomination. He also received an Oscar nom for his portrayal of Jonathon Larson in Tick...Tick...Boom! Alongside his role as Peter Parker in Spiderman: No Way Home.
