Any outfit can appear to be a well thought out one with the right accessories. We've always known this to be true, and have used it as our guiding force to make even the most slap-dash fashion efforts feel like a considered ensemble with the help of an iconic bag. They all have their place in history, and the current style on rotation is Burberry's new signature Lola bag.
Inside the world of the Lola bag, are three editions for all different occasions. Designed by Riccardo Tisci, the Lola bag, featuring the brand's signature Thomas Burberry or "TB" monogram, features a soft silhouette and polished chain strap on all three editions: the classic, the bucket, and the satchel, each silhouette lending itself perfectly to different occasions.
Here, lensed by Kitty Callaghan, Elodie Russell leans into the diversity of the bag which is best used on the go. "The Lola bag can be so easily paired back during the day but can also accompany you on a night out," Russell notes, explaining how she styles the bag. "Daytime during meetings I'd be wrapped in a classic Burberry trench, a turtleneck and boots to wear with my Lola bag. Night time comes and I’m pairing Lola with a black blazer suit and some heels."
As with any iconic luxury bag, the Lola bag is the kind that goes with you wherever you are. From a morning coffee run in pyjama pants to early hours of dawn at the club, switching between the carry-all style of the Lola Bucket bag to the more compact cross-body. The only thing to get in your way is switching out the essentials, ones that Russell can't live without: "Phone, lip gloss, lip liners, AirPods, brow gel, eyelash curler, mascara, sunglasses, keys, mask, sanitiser, phone charger, mini perfume. The Lola can fit a lot!"
The bag's distinctive attitude is one to be mentioned, too. For all good bags have to make you feel some kind of way. For Russell, it's "sexy and confident," making it a swift staple for the model. "The Lola is such a youthful and bold handbag, classy but also fun, which I think matches my overall personal style and personality."
To celebrate the world of Lola, the brand will be launching a series of pop-ups across the globe to offer a chance to step into Lola's design and attitude. For Australia, These will take place in Chadstone, Melbourne from July 29th and Chatswood Chase Sydney from 1st September.
