The best places to get pampered in Byron Bay

best-spas-byron-bay

As it would seem, Byron is the place to be RN. Playing host to some of the best beaches on the East Coast and an enviably laid-back lifestyle, it would only make sense to indulge in extra pampering on a holiday at Wategos Beach (or the hinterland, whichever takes your fancy).

The two go hand-in-hand. Self-care and a trip to Byron to blow off some steam from living through a pandemic? Just what the doctor ordered. With this in mind, let me, a local (yes, I will be claiming this title until my dying breath) take you through a list of our favourite spots to get pampered in Byron Bay.

1. Eléme Day Spa at Crystalbrook Byron

Eléme is nestled into Crystalbrook Byron hotel, and is a sanctuary for the skin and body. Inspired by the healing powers of nature, their restorative treatment menu extends from facials, massages and head and body treatments, to private yoga, meditation and sauna sessions.

Favouring natural remedies like lava shells, mud masks and organic, Australian-made products, it's a calming and revitalising locale open 7 days a week, and only a five minute drive from the centre of town.

2. Aesthetica Byron Bay

Aesthetica is situated just on the way out of town in the ever-growing Industrial Estate. Serving a soft, dream-like version of a Medi-spa space, Aesthetica offers injectables, PRP, Dermapen, Dermaplaning, Fraxel, and LED treatments in the most beautifully furnished space. Clay rendered archways guide you into a treatment room where the bed is swathed with linen and the lights are down low. Aside from being aesthetic heaven (in more ways than one) the Aesthetica team offers results-driven treatments that are always as effective as they are relaxing.

3. COMMA

Another Industrial Estate treasure is COMMA, the massage therapy space that, alongside many of the locations listed in this guide, is a beautiful and serene environment. COMMA offers a range of varied massage techniques and modalities to choose from, so you can trust that whatever menu-item you opt for, you'll be leaving with a renewed sense of equilibrium.

4. Little Company

Little company boasts a more organic approach to skincare, if that’s what you’re into. Their methods are holistic, the type that leaves you feeling the feeling that everyone ventures to Byron to feel. The space is beautiful, an all-white oasis where you are offered chlorophyll infused water and can get express LED treatments accompanied by guided meditations, for the time-poor or treatment excessive. Their facials are massage-heavy which is essentially my love language so naturally, it's an all-round A+ from me.

5. Raes Spa on Wategoes

The famed Raes on Wategoes isn't just useful for covetable Instagram images and a prawn butty at the cellar bar. In fact, their spa is perhaps the most unsung heroes of the entire establishment. Entirely luxurious and all the things you want from a holiday spa-vibe, Raes welcomes you into a relaxing, private cave of luxury of which you will exit reborn. Offering a selection of Santa Maria Nouvella products to treat the face and body, each one of their treatments is conducted with precision and care. Truly a world-class spa experience.

6. Skin Divinity Byron Bay

Skin Divinity offers Dermapen, injectables, PRP, and LED therapy as well as manicures and results-driven facials and peels. With lovely, transparent therapists and top quality products, my skin is always better for a visit to Skin Divinity. It's all in the name.
