Whilst corsets have been slowly making their way onto our Instagram feeds for months now, the arrival of Netflix's period drama Bridgerton has prompted us to finally take the leap. And it seems we aren't the only ones.
Having been watched by over 63 million households it is no wonder that Bridgerton (and the regal wardrobe it features) has begun to enter the 2021 zeitgeist. Whilst we can only dream of opulent ball gowns and of finding our very own hunk with a silver spoon, some smaller details of costume designer Ellen Mirojnick's wardrobe choices can most certainly be replicated.
Aptly named "Regencycore" by Lyst, this newest trend has seen a 123% increase in searches for corsets alone since Bridgerton hit our screens. And honestly we're not mad about it.
Whilst it might seem like a big jump from the loungewear which ruled our lives in 2020, corsets can be a surprisingly versatile addition to your everyday wardrobe. Worn over your favourite t-shirt, dress or as a statement on their own.
So, without further ado, here are our favourite corsets to add to your wardrobe this year.

Technically not a 'corset' as such but it has the same effect. Super flattering and the long-line effect gives an effortlessly cool look over business pants or jeans.
