March in Art: what’s on this month

As we learn to live with and around the coronavirus, we're so pleased to see our favourite galleries and spaces opening up once again to the public. Sydney in particular is in for a retreat with the long-awaited return of Art Month, following the 2020 event cancellation last year.

In addition to the free calendar of events on at Art Month in Sydney, we also see some truly exciting exhibitions emerge and open for viewing. Canberra's National Gallery plays host to a selection of works on loan from the National Gallery in London, including pieces from Botticelli, Vermeer, Monet, Renoir and Van Gogh. And our local artists are in the spotlight too, with Otis Hope Carey's telling show at China Heights Gallery and Gabrielle Penfold's expressive exhibition Oyster Oyster.
