Home Swap

Always wanted to live out The Holiday fantasy, where Jude Law might stumble upon your house to take shelter? Good news for you, house swapping is back. The cost of inflation is getting out of control, but you still want to go on a vacation – why not house swap? It's the perfect solution to stay in a free home, particularly for longer periods of time, where you can stay in a village or city that immerses you straight into the local life.

Shoulder Season

Tired of leaving for the airport five hours before an international flight just to get through security in time to make your flight? Or paying some scary prices to stay in Sicily, Italy during the middle of the European summer? There has been a significant increase, according to Travel experts in traveling during the shoulder season. This is a completely logical decision as you'll be paying less for accommodation and flights while also beating crowds, and if you're not a fan of being in the middle of summer or winter, the shoulder season might be the perfect time to travel. These shoulder seasons can be from September to August, and March to May.

European Summer who?

As climate change is truely here and making herself known, more people are deciding to opt out on the European summer and go somewhere cooler instead. Especially after the past two European summers having heat waves with days in the 40 degree heats. Goodbye European summer, and hello European Winter.

Bring on the Bleisure Trips

You might be asking what is a bleisure trip, and rightfully so. Bleisure is when you mix business and leisure together, being you go on a work trip, having the opportunity to take a few extra days of leisure is worth it. Instead of flying all the way to London for four days, make it seven and take a mini holiday while you're over there. It certainly makes sense as it seems a missed opportunity to be in beautiful city for only a small amount of time, and considering work is paying for the flights and most of the accomodation... you might as well if you can.

Retreats

In 2024, we're putting ourself first and prioritising mental and emotional health. Looking at retreats may be the perfect getaway. Whether it could be a yoga or wellness retreat, the bonuses come further from the package deals retreats normally include, such as food and accomodation as part of the service. And if you decide to travel alone, the opportunity to meet likeminded people from around the world is almost guaranteed.

Culinary Experiences

Planning your trips based on cuisines and the mouthwatering foods that you always wanted to try in the mother lands is a cultural experience we would all love to try. A food trip. If a trip consisting around the notion of food doesn't excite you immediately I don't know what will. Living our Stanley Tucci endeavours of finding Italys finest pastas or best winerys in the Tuscan sun sound delectable. Immersing into the countries food is learning about the culture, the history and the people. The personal stories and recipes being passed down through generation that you bear witness to is so personal from the people of their land to then share with you.

Acts of Service

To live in a part of our world where we are so blessed, we get given the opportunity to help others that are not, with service trips set to be one of the most rewarding travel trends we hope to see in 2o24. And the beautiful opportunity in it is to travel and assist where your interests lie. Volunteering at animal sanctuary's in Costa Rica, or planting coral at the Great Barrier are just a few of the amazing trips to help our world in need, while also having the adventure of a lifetime.
