A threesome with Phoebe Dynevor and Logan Lerman? We’re not, not interested

Hollywood doesn't have a great track record with getting on-screen threesomes right. If we've picked up anything from Easy and Gossip Girl, it's that their takes on the ménage à trois are heteronormative, lack communication and stand to reinforce monogamy as the norm. So what hope is there for a romantic comedy where the entire plot centres a threesome, especially when it's been compared to Knocked Up? At least, that's the first thing I thought upon hearing of the new movie, simply titled The Threesome.

Plot

Helmed by Chad Hartigan and produced by the same company that gave us King Richard, according to Deadline the film "explores the aftermath of one impulsive, seemingly innocuous decision". The Threesome follows Logan Lerman who plays a young man that is suddenly invited into a threesome by his forever crush. But, Deadline writes, "when the fantasy ends, all three are left with sobering real-world consequences, forcing them to take responsibility for their actions — even if it means compromising the lives they’ve always envisioned".

Cast

While Logan Lerman's onscreen sexual experiences revolves around what is quite possibly the cringiest scene in cinematic history, Phoebe Dynevor has been tapped for what could possibly be the role of his crush (I mean, look at her!), so all her expertise from Bridgerton is sure to come in handy. As for the third player in the actual threesome? That remains to be seen. However, the person selected will greatly influence what direction the film will take. Is Lerman's character queer? Or is the crush Dynevor? And in that case, does Dynevor's character have a partner or love interest?

As you can see, we have a lot of questions and since filming hasn't started and we're yet to hear of a premiere date, it looks like we'll be waiting quite some time for the answers.
