Refire! ‘The Bear’ S4 has already been filmed and is on its way

The Bear season 4

Now that we're nearly a week on from the highly anticipated premiere of season 3 of The Bear, most of us fanatical viewers have already binged the episodes a little too quickly to be satisfied, and are already awaiting the hit FX series' return for season 4.

The good news is, it turns out the show runner Christopher Storer is working five steps and one season ahead, according to Deadline. After the success of The Bear at the Emmys and Golden Globes, where it swept up awards for best comedy, actor and actress, it was confirmed that filming for a fourth season began immediately off the back of wrapping the shoot for season 3.

The publication speculates this is to accommodate the show's leads Ayo Edebiri and Jeremy Allen White due to the sheer influx of roles the pair are receiving. On top of The Bear, Edebiri has recently starred in queer fight club comedy Bottoms as well as Indie flick The Sweet EastAllen White on the other hand has enjoyed acclaim for his recent role in The Iron Clawand starred alongside Jessie Buckley in sci-fi romance Fingernails.

When will season 4 be released?

The Bear seems to be following the formula of premiering a new season every June (season 1 debuting in June 2022, season 2 in June 2023, and season 3 just last week). Seeing as filming for the season would have already wrapped, it's likely we'll be seeing Season 4 on our screens in time for June 2025 (but we'll wait for an official announcement from FX to confirm this).

Will season 4 be the last season of The Bear?

Deadline suggests that season 4 could end up being the final chapter of The Bear, as was the case with fellow FX comedy Atlanta which concluded after its last two seasons were shot consecutively.

This is, of course, all speculation at this stage. Safe to say, the rumour mill is certainly spinning. For now though, we're just interested in coming down from the high of season 3. Lots of questions to consider ahead of June 2025.
