What is an AirTag Hermès you ask? Well, it's an advanced new accessory; a device you can attach to your keys or wallet or handbag or anything else you please. If you then lose track of said item, you can track it using the Apple Find My app. In essence, it's Apple's intuitive and luxurious answer to the Tile.
The device incorporates the hand-crafted savoir-faire of Hermès leather goods. As with many Hermès objects, the leather cover holder is inspired by a horse-racing token holder created by Hermès in the early 20th century. There are four styles: The Key Ring, Bag Charm, Luggage Tag and Travel Tag - one for each of our most important accoutrements to help locate them should they go missing. As with the rest of the Hermès Apple range, the Apple AirTag Hermès is available in Barénia calfskin or Swift calfskin.
The announcement came at Apple's Spring Loaded event where we got more than just AirTags. We also saw the announcement of a range of new bands for Apple Watch Hermès, and an Hermès case in Barénia calfskin with MagSafe for iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro.
The new watch collection is called Jumping, in reference to show jumping. Accordingly, the design comes with a saddlery-inspired buckle and a band that pairs with 40 and 44 mm Apple Watches. Jumping is a collection of single tour water-resistant bands woven in the H Vibration design that come in five colourways: : Rouge de Cœur/Rouge H, Kraft/Rouge de Cœur, Orange/Rose Mexico, Bleu Saphir/Orange and Noir/Bleu Saphir.
The Attelage Apple Watch Hermès band received an update too with new double tour bands made from Swift calfskin in colourways Rose Mexico, Bleu Saphir and Blanc—as well as the classic Noir.
The final update to the Apple Hermès collaboration is a new case with MagSafe wireless charging compatibility for iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro. It comes in Barénia calfskin, a full-grain leather that is silky to the touch and develops a patina over time. Th design features a Bolduc hot-stamp inspired by the iconic Hermès ribbon that is tied around its orange boxes.
As for the other announcements unrelated to Hermès, Apple also announced a slinky new, purple colour treatment for the iPhone 12; a powerful new iPad Pro and a dramatic colourful and vivid reimagining of the iMac.
