Meet Reneé Rapp, our new on-screen Regina George

Reneé Rapp

The internet's most recent girl crush seems to be pretty firmly fixated on Reneé Rapp. The American singer and actress is everywhere right now – promoting her new Mean Girls musical film (where she stars as Regina George – whom she also played in the Broadway musical), promoting her debut album Snow Angel, and hosting her own Apple Music show Angel Hour Radio. She's even set to be the musical guests on next week's SNL episode (hosted by Jacob Elordi no less).

Today – 10 January – is her birthday, but while the now-24 year-old Capricorn may seem like she's still new to the game, there's still a lot to get to know about Rapp. And, importantly, a lot to get to know about her sense of style.

On Reneé Rapp's upbringing...

The American actress and singer born on 10 January 2000, to Charlie and Denise Rapp. She was born in Huntersville, North Carolina, United States. Rapp is close with both of her parents, and credits them for pushing her and supporting her throughout her childhood to pursue her dreams.

On Reneé Rapp's career...

Rapp made her acting debut in 2013 and has since appeared in numerous TV shows, movies, and musicals – gaining recognition for starring as Regina George in the Broadway musical Mean Girls from 2019-2020. Rapp also stars as Max in the teen comedy series The Sex Lives of College Girls.

On Reneé Rapp's sense of style...

Rapp is partial to a big pant, oversized tee and corset top. And, fittingly, loves a bit of pink (worn on Wednesdays, we assume). While she likes to jump between a masculine, oversized ensemble and more feminine girlish silhouettes – she isn't afraid to take risks.

Below, we thought we'd round up some of our favourite style moments from the new reigning queen of the school yard – or at least the internet.
