Not your average wine shop. What happens when you assemble some of Sydney's most knowledgable and experienced hospitality folk and give them a space on Newtown's busy Enmore Road? P&V Wine and Liquor - a trove of organic and specialty-sourced natural wines, beers, ciders and spirits, the kind you pick off the menu at your favourite restaurant but can never seem to track down in the real world. The brainchild of Lou Dowling, wine and drinks journalist and presenter Mike Bennie, as well as Mary's boys Jake Smyth and Kenny Graham, the store also sells pre-batched negronis (an armful of those at your next event is sure to make you the most popular person at the party) complete with orange slices for that finishing touch. P&V is open daily from 10am - 9pm.
