Trudging through one of our coldest Mays on record for a while, we're gearing up for what we expect will be a fairly blustery winter season in Australia – a full three months adorned in plenty of cosy fleeces, oversized trenches and accessorised with plenty of bright pops of colour to stave the winter blues away.
We're loving the tropical feel of candy-like blown glass and precious stone-laden jewellery and metallic leather accessories to pair with our necessary neutrals – looking to brands like YU MEI and Acne Studios for our elevated basics while venturing into more playful territory with Sandy Liang and Em On Holiday (are you also still thinking about that pink bubble skirt from their AFW runway finale?).
Of course, we'll be layering in plenty of knitwear from New Zealand knitwear brand Frisson Knits – and the fluffy affair won't stop at our feet, as we don a pair of Axel Arigato's Suede Area Sandals with some cosy knit socks. And if you're looking for something a little more slick this winter, we'd opt for Melbourne label Radical Yes' black patent boots.
