This is the second monogram collection for Burberry, with the first Thomas Burberry Monogram being unveiled in August 2018. The bold interlocking TB initials was designed by Tisci along with British art director and graphic designer Peter Saville.
The latest summer-inspired Thomas Burberry Monogram collection, TB Summer Monogram, features a variety of lightweight pieces in bold and graphic new colourways from dark beige, azure blue, graphite and cobalt blue with orange accents. The womenswear selection includes beach dresses, swimwear, pussy-bow blouses, bodysuits and leggings, while hoodies, swimwear, shirts and shorts makeup the menswear.
The accessories range from quilted towelling Lola bags, Italian woven silk scarves, espadrilles, sandals and sneakers. A special e-canvas (an environmentally conscious material primarily made using renewable resources) is also featured on bum bags, tote bags and pouches. Summer accessories such as hats, towels and special limited-edition surfboards also make the cut.

For the campaign, I thought a lot about that day-dreaming reverie that I associate with summer, that time when you are drifting between reality and fantasy, and I wanted to portray this through the juxtaposition of the imagery. Kendall captured the reality by taking these real self-portraits in the collection, and Nick brought the dream to life, creating this unique digital realm transforming Kendall and allowing her to explore the duality of the TB Summer Monogram collection.” – Riccardo Tisci, Chief Creative Officer.
The unique multi-dimensional campaign portrays a journey from reality to fantasy captured with CGI technology. The campaign video, brought to life by iconic British creative and photographer Nick Knight, is set in a dreamlike geometric world inspired by iconic summer haunts of skateparks and swimming pools. The star is a digital Kendall Jenner portraying four distinctive characters while wearing a selection of both womenswear and menswear capsule pieces.
The CGI campaign video is then contrasted with a series of intimate and raw self-portraits shot at home by Kendall on her computer. The natural light and shadows cast a grounding perspective and a physical reality to the campaign.
“[Riccardo] always has such incredibly creative ideas, he loves thinking of different, innovative ways to tell a story and that can definitely be seen in the different facets of this campaign. Riccardo wanted to collaborate closely with me to bring this collection to life in a number of ways – he encouraged me to interpret the campaign myself, which was such an exciting opportunity!
