Just a few months into Jonathan Anderson’s appointment as creative director at Dior, the House has named its second official ambassador: Past Lives actor and red carpet favourite, Greta Lee.
The announcement is only somewhat of a surprise: in recent weeks, Lee has debuted several new season Dior looks at the Venice Film Festival. Chief among them, a custom black satin and green organza cocoon dress with an oversized bow, to the premiere of A House of Dynamite.
The announcement marks a continued shift in tone for the French House, signalling Anderson’s vision for a more contemporary and culturally resonant Dior – one rooted in individuality and artistry. Lee, known for her sharp on-screen presence and consistently thoughtful approach to fashion, feels like a natural fit.
Over the past few years, she has emerged as one of Hollywood’s most compelling dressers – carving out a style identity that’s entirely her own. Her recent run of awards season appearances in custom Loewe (a label previously helmed by Anderson) further cemented her as a fashion insider’s favourite, often opting for silhouettes that blur the line between modern minimalism and sculptural drama. Now, with her new role at Dior, we're eager to see what other sartorial magic this duo can create.
Lee joins Mikey Madison, who was also named an ambassador for the House this week. Ahead of his official debut for the womenswear arm of the brand, these appointments give us good indication of the early vision Anderson is crafting at Dior – one that clearly aims to connect with a new generation of creatives, and with audiences who value personal style over spectacle.
Official campaign imagery featuring Lee is expected in the coming weeks. Until then, all eyes will be on the front row, as Dior officially enters a new era at Paris Fashion Week later this month.
