Your definitive guide to September fashion month: dates, highlights

It's hard enough keeping up with our own schedules, so it can be stressful trying to keep up with the timetables of not one but several major Spring Summer fashion weeks happening across the world in September.

To cut through the noise, we've put together all the information you need to know, below.

 

Fashion month overview


 

New York Fashion Week

When: 11–16 September 2025

Full schedule: available on the CFDA website.

  • over 60 shows across six days
  • Christian Siriano opening, but closing show listed as "TBA"
  • returning staples include Altuzarra, Prabal Gurung, Tory Burch, Todd Snyder and Sandy Liang
  • Toteme and Off-White joining the lineup
  • notable absences: Peter Do and Helmut Lang.

 

London Fashion Week

When: 18–22 September 2025

Full schedule: available on the LFW website.

  • the first under the British Fashion Council’s new strategy
  • over 80 designers presenting
  • Harris Reed opening and Burberry closing
  • JW Anderson will host a dinner instead of a runway show
  • returning staples include Burberry, Roksanda, Richard Quinn and Emilia Wickstead.

 

Milan Fashion Week

When: 23–29 September 2025

Full schedule: available on the MFW website.

  • over 55 designers
  • Diesel is kicking off the event and Giorgio Armani closing out the week
  • set to spotlight a wave of creative director debuts
  • familiar names include Ferragamo, Tod’s, Moschino, Max Mara, Prada, and Roberto Cavalli
  • notably absent from the official schedule are Versace and Marni.

 

Paris Fashion Week

When: 29 September – 7 October 2025

Full schedule: available on the PFW website.

  • over 110 Maisons
  • Saint Laurent opening and Louis Vuitton closing
  • also set to spotlight a wave of creative director debuts
  • returning favourites include Chloe, Givenchy, Maison Margiela
  • will mark Jean Paul Gaultier's first RTW show in a decade.

 

New York Fashion Week show highlights


Brandon Maxwell 10th anniversary

When: 9 September

What: Brandon Maxwell will kick off the NYFW festivities with a special 10th anniversary show off-schedule, celebrating a decade of his polished, American glamour.

Grace Ling debuts

When: 11 September at 8pm in New York (12 September at 10am AEDT)

What: The winner of the 2024 CFDA/Genesis House AAPI Design + Innovation Grant will make her much-anticipated NYFW debut.

 

Off-White returns to NYFW

When: Friday 12 September at 4pm in New York (13 September at 6am AEDT)

What: Off-White will return to NYFW this season. With a legacy shaped by the late Virgil Abloh, the brand’s upcoming show promises bold statements, cultural commentary, and an evolution of its signature deconstructed aesthetic.

 

"TBA" closing show

When: 16 September at 8pm in New York (17 September at 10am AEDT)

What: The NYFW Spring/Summer 2026 schedule will close with a mysterious TBA runway show, sparking buzz and speculation. As the grand finale, expectations are high that a major designer or headline-making brand will take the coveted closing slot.

 

London Fashion Week show highlights

Conner Ives debuts

When: Monday 22 September at 2pm in London (22 September at 11pm AEDT)

What: Widely recognised for his 'Protect the Dolls' T-shirt supporting Trans Lifeline, Conner Ives will be presenting for the first time as part of LFW this September, departing from his usual once-a-year February schedule in London.

 

Rory William Docherty debuts

When: Monday 22 September at 10am in London (22 September at 7pm AEDT)

What: The New Zealand-based designer Rory William Docherty showed at AFW last year, but will be making his LFW debut in September. He's known for his unisex, transcendental garments that blend elements of the hand-drawn and painted artworks.

 

Burberry closes out the week

When: Monday 22 September at 7pm in London (23 September at 4am AEDT)

What: Daniel Lee will stage his latest Spring Summer collection for the heritage House to close out the week.

 

Milan Fashion Week show highlights

Demna at Gucci

When: 23 September at 7pm (24 September at 3am AEDT)

What: Demna’s unexpected pivot to Gucci has electrified the fashion world, and we're expecting his debut to blend Gucci's flamboyant past with his signature subversive aesthetic.

 

Simone Bellotti at Jil Sander

When: 24 September at 10:30am (24 September at 6:30pm AEDT)

What: Simone Bellotti, formerly of Bally, will make his first appearance at Jil Sander this September. Known for precise tailoring and minimalist flair, expectations are high for how he’ll reinterpret the brand's quiet rigour.

 

Dario Vitale at Versace

When: 26 September at unconfirmed time

What: Notably absent from the official schedule, Dario Vitale's debut at Versace will instead be an intimate event with a video component, according to WWD.

 

Louise Trotter at Bottega Veneta

When: 28 September at 5pm in Milan (29 September at 1am AEDT)

What: We've already had a taste of Trotter’s vision for Bottega on Instagram through a series of black and white images, but her debut is still one we're very much looking forward to.

 

Armani's 50th anniversary show

When: 28 September at 7pm in Milan (29 September at 3am AEDT)

What: The heralded Italian designer will be marking the House's 50th anniversary with an evening runway at Palazzo Brera in the heart of Milan’s design district.

 

Paris Fashion Week show highlights

Jonathan Anderson at Dior Women’s

When: 1 October at 2:30pm in Paris (1 October at 10:30pm AEDT)

What: Jonathan Anderson will present his first womenwear collection for Dior. We've had a taste of what's to come with his recent installation at Dior Men's, though we're still yet to see fully how his blend of conceptual sharpness and forward-thinking design could reshape the House’s feminine identity.

 

Miguel Castro Freitas at Mugler

When: 2 October at 12pm in Paris (2 October at 8pm AEDT)

What: Most recently the creative director of Sportmax, Freitas makes his Mugler debut in Paris. His appointment suggests a future-forward take on Mugler’s daring legacy, and one that we are eager to see.

 

Jack McCollough & Lazaro Hernandez at LOEWE

When: 3 October at 11:30am in Paris (3 October at 7:30pm AEDT)

What: Proenza Schouler founders Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez will show their first collection for LOEWE. It’s a big shift for the Spanish label after Jonathan Anderson’s cerebral run.

 

Glenn Martens at Maison Margiela

When: 4 October at 12pm in Paris (4 October at 8pm AEDT)

What: After debuting a lauded couture collection for Margiela in June, Glenn Martens returns with his first ready-to-wear offering for the house.

 

Pierpaolo Piccioli at Balenciaga

When: 4 October at 8pm in Paris (5 October at 4am AEDT)

What: Following his exit from Valentino earlier this year, Pierpaolo Piccioli will take on his first Balenciaga collection. It’s a moment of major redefinition, with Piccioli’s poetic romanticism set to merge with the more otherworldly edge championed by Demna during his tenure at the House.

 

Duran Lantink at Jean Paul Gaultier

When: 5 October at 4:30pm in Paris (6 October at 12:30am AEDT)

What: Jean Paul Gaultier is back on the ready-to-wear schedule for the first time in over a decade, with Dutch designer Duran Lantink at the helm.

 

Matthieu Blazy at CHANEL

When: 6 October at 8pm in Paris (7 October at 4am AEDT)

What: Blazy will show his first CHANEL ready-to-wear collection. After a widely admired run at Bottega Veneta, Blazy intends to bring his nuanced eye to a House defined by tradition.
