Moncler launches latest Genius collection with JW Anderson

Moncler has launched its most recent Genius collection with ongoing collaborator, Jonathan Anderson, with an new collection defined by upbeat escapism. Expressed through vibrant hues and naive, almost psychedelic patterns that swarm all over, entertaining the eye. The collection, Anderson’s third for Moncler Genius, strengthens the dialogue with Moncler’s functional and outdoorsy roots, and the idea of clothing meant to meet with the elements, while focusing on pattern, colour and texture. Shapes are played down but also playful, meant to be used fluidly across genders: padded parkas with leather straps; cropped blusons; zip-up jackets; padded vests; oversized jumpers; sweatshirts, hoodies and teddy fleeces; padded miniskirts and bermudas; roomy trousers.

Bevza Introduces Symbolic Earrings and Makes Donations

Bevza has launched the ‘Chervona Kalyna’ earring as a tribute to its Ukrainian heritage. Inspired by a beloved Ukrainian folk song and the namesake kalyna berry which has been symbolic of Ukrainian culture since ancient times, the earrings debuted in the FW22 presentation, just weeks prior to Russia’s invasion. Despite the uncertainty, Bevza has been able to produce the earrings in Ukraine, and is pledging a percentage of all proceeds to various non-governmental organisations providing direct aid to Ukrainian people affected by the war.

 

Bulgari presents Bulgari Eden The Garden of Wonders in Paris

This week, Bulgari presented Bulgari Eden The Garden of Wonders, a spectacular collection of more than 140 one-of-a-kind jewellery masterpieces and high-end watches celebrating the marvellous gems of nature with boundless creativity and unrivalled mastery, during a two-day event in Paris.

Hosted by the Bulgari Group CEO Jean-Christophe Babin and the Italian Ambassador to France Teresa Castaldo, the unveiling event took place at the Italian Embassy in Paris on June 6 and welcomed friends of the brand, including Ambassadors Anne Hathaway, Lalisa aka LISA and Priyanka Chopra Jonas.

Prada Frames launches in Milan

Running in parallel to Milan’s Salone del Mobile, Prada Frames is a multidisciplinary symposium that delves into the complex relationship between the natural environment and design from June 6-8.

The initiative is a moment of collective reflection that aims at examining and correlating innovative thoughts, while offering a pioneering body of knowledge. The approach taken by Prada Frames is scientific and, at the same time, educational and informative. The symposium is curated by Formafantasma, a research and design studio based in Milan and Rotterdam, that focuses on design’s historical, political, and social implications. Formafantasma also applies a critical approach to materials and their use in production processes. In line with the progressive and increasingly significant relationship between environmental studies and all fields of knowledge and culture, Prada Frames brings together the valuable contribution of scholars and professionals, such as scientists, architects, designers, artists, activists, anthropologists and law experts.

 

Wittner launches High Winter 22 collection

Wittner has just launched the newest collection for High Winter '22, Subject Matters.

Subject Matters draws on iconic art movements as it explores the substance behind the style. The result is truly wearable works of art. Think moody pieces that replicate the drama of Film Noir, modernist shapes, and pops of colour. Photographed at the RMIT Design Hub Gallery, the campaign contextualises each shoe as a piece of art while also celebrating Wittner's long held connection to Australian design.

 

Glenfiddich unveils limited edition grande couronne pack with Jordan Dalah

Glenfiddich, the World’s Most Awarded Single Malt Whisky1 recently unveiled Grande Couronne, the newest addition to Grand Series. To celebrate the launch, Glenfiddich and Australian Fashion Designer Jordan Dalah, joined forces during Afterpay Australian Fashion Week (AAFW) 2022 continuing to challenge conventions with the unexpected marriage of two luxury worlds.

Jordan Dalah presented a reinterpreted version of the bespoke gold filigree that adorns Grande Couronne’s bottle at his “SS23” fashion show – “Bright red and royal blue like the carpet at the show, my reinterpretation of the filigree sets the tone for the celebration to follow. This collaboration with Glenfiddich is about redefining what luxury is. I designed my own warped filigree pattern in a limited-edition colourway that reflects my ‘SS23’ colour palette.”

Spirit enthusiasts must register in the ballot which is being drawn June 17th for a chance to purchase one of the exclusive packs, each containing an unpublished print taken from Dalah’s “SS23” show, a set of six Grande Couronne balloon glasses, and a bottle of Grande Couronne.
