What's in fashion this week? Going green. In line with Earth Day, we're seeing an offering of exciting new initiatives from multiple brands as a step towards a more sustainable future. From Valentino, Ralph Lauren, and Saint Laurent, these are our favourite fashion moments of the week.

Ralph Lauren announces Earth Polo

In line with Earth Day, Polo Ralph Lauren will extend their Earth Polo Ralph Lauren range for 2022. As part of the brand's commitment to safeguarding the environment for future generations, Ralph Lauren has pledged to use 170 million plastic bottles in our products and packaging by 2025.

Polo Earth outlines an important next step for the brand and its commitment to preserving the planet and its natural resources, with fabric that is comprised entirely of recycled plastic bottles. Alongside this, Ralph Lauren is working across its value chain to reduce its climate and water impacts and avoid waste. As part of that goal, the Company is striving to create packaging that is 100% recyclable, reusable, or sustainably sourced by 2025.

The Earth Polo range is available to shop online and in-store in Australia.

Hermès hosts Kellymorphose fine jewellery collection in Sydney

Hermès Sydney will be hosting a fine jewellery collection, Kellymorphose from Friday April 29 to Tuesday May 3. The exhibition, featuring jewellery designs by Pierre Hardy and scenography by Mathias Kiss, explores the concept of a bag that becomes jewellery, worn around the neck, the wrist or the fingers. The jewellery, which takes its inspiration from the iconic Kelly bag, offers pieces in rose gold, white gold, silver, and diamonds.

You can view the collection at the Hermès Sydney flagship from Friday to Tuesday only.

 

Maison Valentino joins the SAF corporate programme of Air France and KLM

Earlier this month, Air France and KLM and Maison Valentino announced an agreement in support of the airline group’s SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel) corporate programme, which encourages companies to play an active role in the future of sustainable travel. The partnership represents a new important step in the green transition of Maison Valentino, championing conscious-driven transport and reflecting the company’s commitment towards the safeguard of the environment and the implementation of its new responsible business model.

Saint Laurent introduces the new ICARE bag

Saint Laurent has released a new shopping tote from the House, made with soft lambskin with flat lozenge quilting. With an oversized silhouette and a strong identity, the tote sports a maxi curved iconic YSL signature which has been entirely handcrafted. The ICARE bag is available to shop now and comes in black leather with matt or shiny finishing.

 

Maggie Marilyn partners with Ocean Bottle

For Earth Day on Friday  April 22, 2022, Maggie Marilyn has partnered with Ocean Bottle to create co-branded drink bottles.
When you buy an Ocean Bottle, you fund the collection of 1000 ocean-bound plastic bottles before they reach the water. To accompany this initiative, the brand is hoping to mobilise their community by offering a competition in tandem. To celebrate, Maggie Marilyn and Ocean Bottle challenge you to pick up rubbish, litter, or trash in your local community area from Friday April 22 - Monday 25 April.

Take a photo of your rubbish - tag @maggiemarilyn and @oceanbottle and share on Instagram to go into the draw to win one of 3 MM x Ocean Bottles and a $100 MM gift voucher. The winners will be announced on Tuesday April 26.
