8 ways to smell good this season

Nothing is more memorable than a person who smells good. A big part of this is fragrance; the scent you wear says a lot about you. Are you into sexy-smart woods, or prefer to exist in the world amidst a cloud of sweet vanilla? You might prefer a bit of both, and pick fragrance based on your mood. But that's the fun of fragrance, how you approach it is entirely your own. Either way, a new season always feels like a good time to assess what's out there, introduce a fresh pick into the mix. And there's no better time than the onset of summer. Whether you want bottled liquid sunshine or a syrupy-fruity option that makes you feel 15 at everything spritz, here's the RUSSH edit of the best new spring fragrance launches in 2023.

MAISON MARGIELA Replica Under The Stars

The latest from Margiela Replica smells like a night under the stars. There's oud, leather, patchouli and cedar; think warm, woody, nostalgic. Spray it on damp skin after your shower to lock in the scent for hours.

TOM FORD Cafe Rose

Rose has a tendency to err old fashioned, but not Tom Ford's Café Rose. It pairs rose de mai with rich coffee, coriander and cardamom giving it a sensual, spicy edge.

VYRAO Sun Rae

This smells like the way the ocean looks when the sun hits. It's bright, energetic, buzzing with good feelings. There's the obvious citrus (bergamot, lemon) but also turmeric, ginger and sandalwood to give depth.

CALVIN KLEIN My Euphoria

Can you smell the nostalgia? Calvin Klein have reimagined its iconic Euphoria eau de parfum into My Euphoria: a spicy, smoky, ultra-delicious scent. The new launch is a big floral with added notes like black sesame, orchid flambé, tuberose and bamboo. it comes in a slick cherry bottle, too.

PRADA Paradoxe Intense

Prada's take on fragrance fuses old world techniques with cutting edge innovation. Take the just-launched Paradoxe Intense; there's creamy jasmine and delicate moss, but also ambrofix, a base note made entirely using biotechnology. If you enjoyed the original Paradoxe but crave more oomph, Intense has your name on it.

HERMES Tutti Twilly d'Hermes

Hermès perfume-creator Christine Nagel bottled up joy when designing Tutti Twilly. A mash-up of zesty ginger and sweet lychee, it's fun, light-hearted and perfect for the long, hot summer ahead.

MATIERE PREMIERE Vanilla Powder

Vanilla scents are a slippery slope, however Matiere Premiere's take is balanced but sensual. Note-wise, there's black vanilla, coconut, palo santo wood and musk; think warmth, skin and just a little sweetness.

SANTA MARIA NOVELLA Magnolia

Santa Maria Novella Magnolia feels feminine, luminous and expensive. A true white floral, there's magnolia, white rose, jasmine samba and geranium inside. An amber base gives it longevity.
