We are in the middle of April and it is colder than we would have ever liked for the middle of autumn in Australia. It feels as though it is officially the last month to comfortably wear a short sleeved shirt in the middle of the afternoon, and we're milking it for everything we have. This April, for our monthly fashion favourites round up, we are leaning towards classic silhouettes to begin building our winter wardrobes.
Perhaps the past years of relentless TikTok trends have finally gotten to us, but we're feeling particularly drawn to timeless shapes this season. That doesn't mean things can't come with a twist, like a well-cut jean with a bit of fun from Coperni, or Seb Brown's Rat earring. There is a perfect slip dress from Paloma Wool that can be layered with knitwear or a good coat, and a sheer halter from Ludovic De Saint Sernin for late nights.
Simone Rocha and St Agni offer up some sweet little accessories, and we are throwing it back to a noughties classic Ray Ban shape just for fun. To switch it up from the classic Penny Loafer, we're leaning on these chocolate suede iterations from Wales Bonner to carry us through the chill. Finally, out of practicality, we're trying to not fall straight into the winter anti-workout hibernation slump, so new leggings from Champion are on the list to assure we stay at least a little flexible.
Below, are all of our April fashion favourites. Happy browsing or, in our case, happy shopping!
