Inspired by the Beat Generation, Dior Men’s Fall 2022 triggers a youthquake in the 100th edition of RUSSH

For the Dior Mens fall 2022 collection, Creative Director Kim Jones took inspiration from the minds of great writers, wordsmiths of the Beat generation and House codes of Christian Dior. With a particular occurs on Jack Kerouac and the American spirit of freedom, a rebellious energy of youth culture blended with Brits’ knack for offbeat fashion.

The beat generation signified antiestablishment mentality, being broke and how the power of youth can make its on revolution through sex, drugs and inventing a style and vernacular that defied social norms. It is an idea that is enforced perhaps to inspire the youth generations of today, spectating Jones’ Dior, to embrace the freedom inherent to 50s Americana in their own lives.

Imagined in RUSSH’s 100th issue by Charlotte Agnew in a homely, off duty mod rocker setting, models Dré, Tom Hearn and Ethan Bischoff are clad in glittering collars, tweed jackets, coats and ankle-cropped flood trousers. With the juxtaposition of the setting with the elevated Dior Men's garments, there is a harmony between the revelatory musings behind the collection and the simplicity of home. Sit back, relax, and let the garments speak for themselves.
