This is everything set to premiere at the 79th Venice Film Festival

Venice Film Festival 2022

Venice Film Festival is returning this year with a lineup of some of the most anticipated titles of 2022. As one of the world's most renowned international film festivals, the titles that will premiere this year do not disappoint. With new works from Luca Guadagnino, Olivia Wilde, Darren Aronofsky, Andrew Dominik, Alejandro J. Iñárritu, and Laura Poitras, they are among some of the many directors whose work will be launching from the Lido in hopes of winning VFF's Golden Lion at the 79th Film Festival, which will kick off on August 31.

Opening the festival will be the premiere of White Noise, which will satiate our Greta Gerwig pining until Barbie is out. Noah Baumbach’s black comedy will star Gerwig alongside Adam Driver in their first pairing since Frances Ha. It will also be the first Netflix original film to open Venice Film Festival.

Stars who are expected to show up on the iconic red carpet are Olivia Wilde, Penelope Cruz, Ana de Armas, Cate Blanchett, Timothée Chalamet, Hugh Jackman, Laura Dern, Christoph Waltz, Sigourney Weaver, Jodie Turner Smith, and Mia Goth. Below, is the full lineup for the 79th Venice Film Festival 2022.
