5 favourite fashion moments

It seems as though the closer we draw to our deadlines, the more the weeks just seem to ebb and flow into one. This week was quite an eventful week in luxury and here at RUSSH, we round up our favourite fashion moments for you below. Enjoy.

Bottega Veneta Partners with La Biennale di Venezia

Bottega Veneta

Dance seems to be slowly becoming more and more integrated with fashion, from Dior's haunting AW 21 show performance Disturbing Beauty to now Bottega Veneta's announcement in its partnership with the 15. International Festival of Contemporary Dance and its impressive festival schedule featuring over 100 artists over the course of 10 days events. Instigating more conversations around the topic of dance and collaboration, Bottega Veneta and La Biennale di Venezia is divided into 6 steps and will envisage live performances, multilingual installations, film and conversations, including an installation piece by none other than RUSSH favourite, dancer Mikhail Baryshnikov.

Balenciaga Neo-Classic Pop-Up Sydney

Balenciaga

This week, Balenciaga hosted RUSSH to a tour and preview of its ever impressive new Pop-Up the Neo-Classic Pop-Up store in Sydney to mark its celebration of its expansion in Neo-Classic styles and the celebration of Balenciaga Classic’s 20th anniversary. Highly modern, futuristic and tastefully curated, the Pop-Up had us feeling in a different dimension. Steel beams, glass walls with a hint of the conceptually and architecturally obscure - the pop-up plays host to the fast selling exclusive Neo-Classic styles as well as an impressive range of the house's bags, shoes and accessories.

Alaïa’s ‘Relax’ Collection

Alaia

In 1992, the late Azzedine Alaïa originally introduced something called the Relax yarn, a new and very comfortable textile innovation by Florentine spinner Lineapiù to promote comfortability in clothing. Now for SS 21, Alaia presents the Relax Collection, exclusive to none other than our favourite retailer Net-A-Porter. Black, sleek and stylish loungewear, each piece is carefully considered and made from the Relax yarn, mindfully designed and created to help the body breathe, move and stretch, stylishly promoting movement and for the body to be free. The collection is available online or for you perusal at net-a-porter.com.

Coach's Earth Day Dinner

Coach hosted a dinner in its QVB Sydney store on Thursday April 22, in honour of Earth Day and its new spring 2021 collection. Guests, including some of the RUSSH team, were treated to a three-course vegan menu amidst a garden-themed set up. Coach's latest collection is inspired by the optimism of beautiful things.
