Milly Alcock is one of Hollywood’s leading newcomers – here’s why we love her

25-year-old actress Milly Alcock has had a knockout couple of years, having won hearts with her portrayal of young Rhaenyra Targaryen in HBO's Game of Thrones spin-off House of the Dragon, followed by Netflix's eery new series, Sirens, and a forthcoming roles as Supergirl, no less. Off-screen, Alcock is quickly shaping up to be one of Westeros' most fashionable alumni, attending Louis Vuitton shows in Paris, and even sitting front row at the Fendi Haute Couture Spring Summer 23 show.

She's an Aussie

Alcock is a born and bred Sydney-sider, having attended Newtown High School of the Performing Arts.

Not too long ago, she's was been spotted with actor Ruper Fennessy milling around Manhattan's East Village. A potential beau? Only time will tell.

 

She dropped out of high school to pursue acting

While in her final year of high school, Alcock dropped out to pursue acting full-time as part of the cast of 2019 Australian drama Upright, where she plays 13-year-old Meg opposite Tim Minchin. The show's second season is currently in production.

She's besties with Noel Gallager's daughter

Model and photographer Anaïs Gallagher is a close friend of the actress, so close in fact that Alcock even starred in Noel Gallagher's music video for Easy Now earlier this year.

She's also a master of the stage

Alcock recently took to the stage in London's West End, where she played Abigail Williams in the National Theatre's production of The Crucible. The adaptation of the Arthur Miller classic performed a limited season from June until September last year.
