Prepare your feet and shoe rotation for streetwear’s most unexpected collaboration as the Miu Miu x New Balance sneaker partnership is now available for pre-order, and naturally we're sharing where to go to buy the new collection. Having provided a taste of the range on the runway at their Spring/Summer 2022 show, the collaborative kicks embody the contemporary design of Miuccia Prada with quintessential New Balance trademarks for a refined take on functional footwear.
Miu Miu X New Balance utilises the signature shape of the New Balance 574 sneaker and infuses it with an artisan twist; denim is employed as its primary fabric, with the edges fraying and expected to continue to fray with wear. The sneakers come in three colourways, including white, royal blue and colonial beige with every pair sporting a dual-branded tongue tag and denim N on the mid-panel of the shoe.
With the colouring of the collaboration remaining in neutral hues, it is envisioned the shoe will seamlessly pair with everyday wardrobe staples, alongside fliting trending items or worn across seasons with ease. On the runway, the shoes were styled alongside midriff-baring crop tops, low-rise miniskirts and functional outerwear, showcasing their versatility as a shoe. The 574’s are underpinned by a 25mm rubber sole in a gum style for those coloured white and colonial beige, and a gray outsole for the royal blue iteration of the sneaker.
