Where to buy FanciClub: The Vietnamese brand adored by Bella Hadid and Olivia Rodrigo

We’re big on ruffles, pom-pom accents, semi-sheer fabrics and eclectic colours. More-is-more is still having its moment, in part thanks to the Y2K resurgence with its vice grip on 2022 trends. One brand combining upcycling with a trend-lensed focus is FanciClub, the brand taking Instagram by storm with its darling corsets and low-rise trousers. Here, we break down where to buy FanciClub and what you need to know about the emerging brand.

What is FanciClub?

Established in 2020, FanciClub specialises in handmade, custom pieces curated in Vietnam, with the brand sourcing its fabrics through deadstock and lock thrift stores. Deconstructed designs range from dresses, two-piece sets and corsets with garments selling out within minutes of being shared online.

FanciClub was founded by Khanh Duy Tran, the sole designer and creative founder of the brand. Born out of a desire to create a sustainable label after years of thrifting, Tran began reconstructing the clothes into designs people may wear, rather than end up in landfill in their original state. Her style icons are “Jean Paul Gaultier and myself,” and Tran makes pieces on the spot after playing around with fabric, sewing items haphazardly together until satisfied with the end result. Typically, it takes 15 minutes to complete one item, according to the founder.

Who wears FanciClub?

FanciClub has some fancy fans, including Bella Hadid, Olivia Rodrigo and Brazilian YouTuber Lívia Nunes Marques. Most recently, we’ve seen Hadid wearing a custom upcycle jean corset and skirt – paired with white boots – however this isn’t her first time wearing the brand as she’s been seen wearing its custom mesh pants, the Bloody Groom top and Gun Pants.

Like Hadid, Rodrigo isn’t afraid of a corset, donning a custom iteration of the garment in pastel pink, paired with a black leather mini skirt.

Where to buy FanciClub?

For the time being, FanciClub is sold exclusively from its own website and Depop, however we expect buyers to have their eye on this brand, meaning it may be readily available from your favourite retailers in the coming months.
