Spotify Wrapped 2025 is here – so which artists dominated?

Is Spotify Wrapped for 2025 late?

After days of refreshing our apps, Spotify Wrapped 2025 has officially landed. The exact release date is always shrouded in mystery because, although Spotify confirmed it stopped tracking listening data on November 20, they never confirmed the release date for Wrapped itself. But this year, it dropped in the evening hours between 3 and 4 December.

So, now that the annual music recap is here, it's time to compare notes. Overall, Australians listened to everyone from the Wiggles to The Kid LAROI. As for the favourite songs, Birds of a Feather by Billie Eilish and That's So True by Gracie Abrams were on the list.  Below, everything we learned from global Spotify Wrapped data for 2025.

Was Spotify Wrapped 2025 later than usual?

Short answer: No — Spotify Wrapped 2025 was not late. It arrived in our apps on the morning of December 4, 2025.

Based on previous years, Spotify Wrapped typically drops between 29 November and 4 December, with most releases happening in the final days of November or the first days of December.

Recent release dates include:

  • 2025: 4 December
  • 2024: 4 December
  • 2023: 29 November
  • 2022: 30 November
  • 2021: 1 December

When did Spotify stop tracking data for wrapped?

A common question every year: “Will my recent listening count?” Although fans long believed Spotify stopped collecting data on 31 October 2025, the platform clarified last year that it extended its tracking deadline to 20 November.

If Spotify follows the same pattern in 2025, the cut-off was likely in mid-November, meaning most of your recent streams should be included. And if you didn't already know, here's how to hack your profile.

How to access your Spotify Wrapped

Accessing your Spotify Wrapped is fairly straightforward. Simply open the Spotify app on your mobile app. To be ready:

  • Update your Spotify app to the latest version
  • When Wrapped goes live, a banner will appear on your Home page
  • You’ll also get an in-app notification
  • Wrapped becomes available on desktop shortly after the mobile launch

Who topped Spotify Wrapped in 2024?

If you need a quick refresher before this year’s results land, Taylor Swift dominated Spotify Wrapped 2024 as the most-streamed artist worldwide, with The Weeknd and Bad Bunny close behind. On the singles front, Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso” claimed the title of most-streamed song of the year — a track that is still stuck in our heads a year later.
