Yes, it's nearly that time of year again. Spotify Wrapped 2025 is around the corner, and our social media feeds will soon be flooded with recaps of the year that was, sonically-speaking.
But if you've ever felt like your Spotify Wrapped wasn't truly a reflection of your listening habits, you're not alone. And now, Spotify itself is here to help, with helpful new feature that is designed to ensure your Spotify listening experience feels accurate – including how to exclude certain tracks from your Wrapped. Curious? Keep reading.
You can now personalise your Spotify Taste Profile
Spotify has answered our prayers with it's latest feature. It relates to your Taste Profile, which is Spotify's interpretation of your musical taste, based on the kinds of songs and artists you listen to, and how frequently. Your Taste Profile is then used to inform in-app recommendations, like your Daylist and your Discover Weekly Picks. And perhaps most importantly, it also feeds directly into your yearly Spotify Wrapped.
If you've ever wanted to exclude certain tracks from these round-ups, then your in luck. Starting today, you can exclude individual tracks from your Taste Profile, in addition to playlists. So if you've got a little one who listens to The Wiggles on repeat, or perhaps you fall asleep to white noise every night – these can now be included from metrics like your Spotify Wrapped.
How to exclude tracks from your Spotify Taste Profile
Both Premium and Free users will have access to this handy new feature. To use it, simply:
- Select the track (or entire playlist) you want to exclude
- Tap the three dots in the top-right corner of your screen
- Select "Exclude from your Taste Profile"
If you change your mind, you can also follow the same steps to add the song or playlist in question back into your Taste Profile.
