The Summer 21 revelation will be an exciting event from the French Luxury Maison that will be live streaming this Tuesday 15th of December, 2pm CET - 12am AEST, Wednesday 16th December for all us Australians.

These are the first official details so far from Saint Laurent, who have also recently released some specials teasers via its Instagram page.

The collection of three-panel Instagram posts first show a series of films that are set in the intriguing scene of what feels like a cactus field, illuminated by alternating coloured lights in the evening. The second series features short teaser films and a still of an unknown model, walking in a pair of patent red slingback heels with a silver toe and fishnet stockings – signature SL styling. The film is set in the incredible garden of Jardin Majorelle, a two-and-a-half-acre botanical garden and artist’s landscape in Marrakech, Morocco, created by French Orientalist artist, Jacques Majorelle. The model walks along the iconic painted electric blue edge of a pond – perhaps a hint of the Summer 21 show’s location. The last teasers show a series of landscape stills shot over empty and rippled desert sand, with the iconic YSL logo imprinted. Morocco is starting to feel right.

Saint Laurent famously pulled out of the 2020 fashion calendar this year, opting to take control of its launches and present collections at times that made sense for its creativity and the brand itself.

The Saint Laurent Women’s Summer 21 show comes after the recently released Saint Laurent Men’s Spring Summer 21 Project earlier in September. Titled, No matter how long the night is, the collection was presented via a unique virtual experience as a pre-recorded film, that turned into an epic global runway.

We look forward to the next expericne by Saint Laurent and creative director Anthony Vaccarello. Stay tuned.
