Wardrobe 02: the essentials by Bottega Veneta is finally here



There has been much to say about creative director Daniel Lee and his installment behind the helms of Italian Maison Bottega Veneta. From his iconic and tastefully provocative campaigns with English photographer Tyrone Lebon to the era of the new idol with the Knot, Cassette and Pouch bag, Bottega Veneta has managed to reimagine fashion into new contemporary landscapes.




Following on from its success of Salon 01; the long awaited and anticipated Wardrobe 02 has officially arrived. This time, a wardrobe designed to transcend trends and as a break between the Salon collections, Daniel Lee delivers a ready-to-wear world with purpose, consistency and essentials to be loved and lived in.


As with any Bottega Veneta collection, performance and functionality is key. From technical nylon to crystal-punctured sueded, Wardrobe 02 offers us a world in which we play to dress up or domesticate to dress down; the choice being in the arms of the wearer.

Featuring heavy tweed tailored suits to feathers and crystalised floor length dresses; the collection falls nothing short of a grand statement however instilled with pieces that still promote wearability and practicality.




Towelling knit dresses and robes accompany Bottega Veneta's new Wardrobe 02, playing to creative director Daniel Lee's chosen theme in exploring domesticated glamour. Muted hues in neutrals such as camel, black, grey and shades of white play backdrop to the stark contrasts of Bottega Veneta green, canary yellow, reds and cyan blues.

From brushed wool to feather one piece suits and pleated dresses, the collection explores a play on textures and eclectic finishes, while consistently injecting easy to wear everyday pieces such as turtlenecks, cashmere sweaters and knit dresses.
