The Valentino ACT Collection Fall/Winter 2021-22 and the looks the RUSSH office can’t get enough of

In Partnership with Valentino

Valentino ACT Collection is a collection that is so quintessentially Valentino, it reminds us exactly why this House is one of the most revered purveyors of fashion and, innovators in luxury.

Once you've seen it, it's hard to forget the fashion show that took place at the Piccolo Teatro di Milano. A grand punk-like gesture made by Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli, as he reopens one of Milan's most iconic theatres to stage his Fall/Winter 2021-22 runway show. And true to fine Valentino form - anarchic, punk, romantic and sensual, it was.

Valentino's ACT Collection is not made for the fainthearted. Exploring the idea of sensuality and romanticism as more of an attitude rather than a disposition, the collection offers a breathtakingly new (and radical) point of view. Slashed hemlines, finely veiled sheers and even finer intricacies of lace are witnessed down the runway, finishing off the collection styled to utter perfection heroing our favourite Valentino bag - the Valentino Garavani Stud Sign in all its black and ivory calfskin glory.

Sporting Valentino's signature VLogo metal hardware, all finished off in the Maison's unique antique brass, the bag remains an icon. And here, highlighting one of Valentino's most highly recognisable design codes - The Valentino Garavani Stud Stud - the bag stands complete with its impressive Roman Stud chained strap.

Then, there are our key favourite looks. Every editor's dream in Valentino monochrome. Sharply tailored Italian suits and dreams laden in fine Italian lace and silk. The lines of sexuality are blurred and remain fluid, bracing ourselves for days in big masculine overcoats paired with netted tops and mini skirts.

With the ACT Collection, we see some more of Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli’s ideas at play. Challenging us to think outside the box in when we think about clothing the body and in how we express our sexuality, Pierpaolo Piccioli immutably expresses his unique stance in exploring, "sensuality as an attitude: an awareness of the body that does not deny romanticism but radicalizes it in a libertarian instant."
