On the 30 year anniversary, we’re taking a look back at Fran Fine’s best outfits from ‘The Nanny’

One of the greatest sitcoms to hail from the 90s? If you disagree with me, I do not care, for The Nanny brought me life, laughter and an abundance of good times growing up. I adored each hilarious character from Fran Fine herself played by Fran Drescher, Maxwell Sheffield – the frustrating one who won’t commit, Niles the Butler, C.C. Babcock – the one we love to hate, the overbearing eats everything mother Sylvia Fine, the ditsy friend Val Toriello and my favourite grandma Yetta.

I related to The Nanny on so many levels, with her intervening family and her affinity for leopard print. I could go on for days, but the real hero of the show is the outfits worn by the impeccable Miss Fine herself, who to this day is still one of my all-time favoutite style icons (including Cher too). From the miniskirts, the bright colours, the sparkle, the loud prints, the matching sets and basically everything in between, here we’ve rounded up a non-extensive but highly worthy list of The Nanny’s best outfits. Time for some die hard 90s nostalgia. You’re welcome.

THIS. Would wear today. A little Paco Rabanne signature chainmail dress never hurt nobody.

Two piece sets for the win. This velvet beaded crop top and matching beaded skirt by Betsy Johnson is a dream with signature knee-high boots and sheer stockings.

Not your causal weekday attire, though perfect for a cameo in a 2000s film clip (before her time).

One of the most iconic. The Leopard print three piece skirt suit. The cinched waist and big shoulders providing ultimate shape.

The leopard print continues, this time don’t be afraid to match your homewares too.

Last mention for the animal print, because really, we could go on for days. This is a Fran Fine signature with contrast vest over black turtleneck and tights.

Blue denim jeans and jewelled cuffs... now this is a vintage vibe.

I also adored when Fran would match her headband to her outfit. Love the straight hair too.

Into the night. A little Cher sparkle disco nod.

This top. I went and bought a similar style from Ellery about two years ago to emulate this look. I did not nail it.

This gold chain belt really just pops over the sleek black.

Last but not least, I can't not give a special mention to my sequin bomber jacket loving Grandma Yetta. ILY. Please note this is not an extensive list as let's face it, every outfit The Nanny wore is worthy of a special shout out. Also big love to the best Instagram page @whatfranwore for enabling this feature to happen.

For more nostalgic and iconic style inspiration, look no further than Kate Moss' 90s wonders, or Liv Tyler's 'hot girl summer' edge. And who could forget the greatest of all, our dearest Harry Styles.
