There's been no shortage of top-tier collabs coming to our screens of late – this one though, may just take the cake, in my humble opinion. Directing duo Boy Harsher, made up of Jae Matthews and Augustus Muller, have announced plans for their latest film, an erotic thriller, titled A Lonely Woman – and it unites none other than Chloë Sevigny and FKA Twigs.
The two have carved out cult followings, and understandably so. Sevigny has been resident it-girl since her acting debut in Kids, acquiring a one-of-one sense of style that seems to come so effortlessly to the icon herself. Twigs, on the other hand, has solidified her status as one of the most celebrated contemporary avant-garde artists, whose work takes place across the mediums of dance, music, and now film. Her most recent body of work, EUSEXUA, is fused with sensibility and nuance, meeting at the intersection of contradictions: pain and pleasure, the beautiful and the strange, ethereal and human. This creative tangent is no different.
Ahead, all the important details on The Lonely Woman.

What is the plot looking like?
The details have us on the edge of our seats. Set in a mountain tunnel in rural New England, the erotic thriller follows a woman whose first love has just died. This tragic event catalyses a questionably seductive and undoubtedly horrifying presence that lies beneath the town, and involves a strange fascination with the macabre. With the synopsis being mirrored with a synth-soundscape, the film has been marked as “a bleak, sensual and atmospheric horror-thriller." One word from us: eerie.
When can we expect to watch this cinematic masterpiece?
The film has just wrapped up filming and is planning to premiere in 2026. Whilst we are ridiculously impatient to see this one unfold, it will be worth the wait.
Who else is in the cast?
Whilst Chloë Sevigny and FKA Twigs alone have our unwavering attention, the cast is also juiced up with Sturgill Simpson, Will Oldham, Jake Weary and Spenser Granese. As for the creative team, it’s stacked. Hunter Zimmy is lending a hand as the photography director, whilst the production designer will be no other than Madeline Sadowski (Good Time, Chappel Roan’s Subway Show). An IG note from mother Chloë, "thank you to our scrappy ass crew who all went above and beyond every day."
