You know what they say, if you want to know how to spend 48 hours in Paris, ask the French. No online travel website or pocket guide will give you the answers you're really looking for, and when you're on a time crunch, mucking around is certainly not an option. Which is why with European summer almost in full-swing, we looked to Eres Creative Director, Marie-Paule Minchelli, for her ultimate Paris travel guide.

As the Creative Director of the distinctly Parisian brand for over 13 years now, Minchelli's distinctly unique perspective on the iconic city and all its best-kept gems is exactly the kind of intel anyone heading to the city of love should be looking for. Below, Michelli shares her favourite places to stay, eat, things to do and things to pack when in Paris.

STAY…

The Hotel le Ritz: embodies true French luxury and especially going there for the Spa.

The Hotel le Chateau Voltaire: would recommend going here for its restaurant and its intimate atmosphere.

DO…

Le Bon Marché: Is a French luxury department store, located in a quadrangle framed by rue de Sèvres, rue de Babylone. I love going there to discover new brands but also to get inspired.

Les Puces de Vanves: I love antiquing and Les Puces de Vanves is the perfect place for it. It is the only flea market in the centre of Paris.

The Jardin du Luxembourg: Incredibly beautiful for walking, strolling, gazing, and disconnecting.

Walking in Paris: Discovering new neighbourhoods and new streets.

EAT…

Le Petit Lutetia: A quintessentially French brasserie with sidewalk seating for summer evening catch ups with friends.

Ledoyen: One of the oldest restaurants in Paris, the brewery is one of my favourite places to get a drink after work.

Mama Shelter Porte de Versailles: Perfect for traditional French homemade meals – beautiful for travellers.

Paris Hanoi: rRe de Charonne, in the 11th arrondissement, district where there are plenty of restaurants and a good atmosphere.

Anima: Rue du Cherche Midi, a very good Italian restaurant.
