Moonlight and moonshine: A secret evening with ‘RUSSH’ & OMEGA’s Aqua Terra 30 mm

In a softly lit Prim Haus in Sydney, RUSSH and OMEGA welcomed a circle of women to celebrate the launch of the new Aqua Terra. Host Jessica Gomes – warm, grounded and completely herself – led a night that was as much about connection as it was about the timepiece itself. The evening began with an intimate reception where the shimmer of Moonshine™ Gold caught the light, setting the tone for stories about style, time and the moments that matter.

Gomes wore the evening’s focus: an OMEGA Aqua Terra. Part of the new 30 mm collection, the watch features a vibrant dial, date window at six o’clock, and a calibre visible through the sapphire crystal caseback – a detail Gomes loves for its understated sophistication. “It was shimmering and stunning,” she said, describing the collection as “timeless, effortless and wearable” with a size that feels elegant yet easy. With 12 new references, from stainless steel to Moonshine™ and Sedna™ Gold, each Aqua Terra is powered by one of OMEGA’s new Master Chronometer movements – offering magnetic resistance up to 15,000 gauss and a 48-hour power reserve – engineering as beautiful as it is precise.

Dinner, created by chef Wesley Cooper Jones, brought contemporary Australian flavours with French influence – fresh Sydney rock oysters with rosella mignonette, bluefin tuna with hibiscus and ume plum vinaigrette, and a raviole Nantua flambéed at the table. Dessert was a bombe Alaska with a caramelised finish. Between courses, Gomes moved easily between guests. “We can laugh, we can cry, we can be vulnerable,” she said. “We all want to feel seen, heard and safe to be ourselves.”

It was here, between toasts and the quiet hum of conversation, that familiar faces emerged – Laura Dewitt, Jamie Nguyen, Liv Parsons, Serena Wardell, Phoebe Wolfe, Abigail O’Neill and Brooke Testoni – all gathered around the long table, each with their own interpretation of the evening’s relaxed elegance.

In her welcome, Gomes reflected on the "My Little Secret" campaign and the value of time spent well – mornings in nature, quiet moments with family, and rituals that give the day shape. By the time the last glasses were emptied and the Moonshine™ Gold caught the light one final time, it was clear this was more than a launch. It was an evening that celebrated not just the passing of time, but the way we choose to fill it.
