Since the label was founded back in 1993 by Miuccia Prada, Miu Miu has set itself apart by establishing itself as Prada's playful little sister; embodying a more spirited and unrefined sartorial attitude. For our March Resilience issue, model Olivia Parsons dons the Italian fashion House's Spring/Summer 2023 Ready-to-Wear collection. Shot by Charles Dennington and styled by Charlotte Agnew, Parsons is captured in movement and repose, surrounded by refractions of limb and garment.
Miu Miu's Spring/Summer 2023 collection thoughtfully explores fashion's pursuit of utility, and how it may service us to dress the body while also underscoring its emotional expression. It's an ode to the ways in which our fashion choices are at once perforated by our realities, and disappear into them. As the age-old adage goes, "Life imitates art". Or perhaps, is it the other way around?
