With creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli at the helm, we have witnessed the Maison of Valentino take many different turns. From its anarchic visual spectacle that was its FW 21 presentation to poetry campaigns and card games, Valentino and Pierpaolo Piccioli are most certainly becoming unorthodox and entrancing.
In the follow up to Valentino Collezione Milano SS21 show, the Italian luxury house now launch its very unique, one-of-a-kind collaboration with Levi's in the reinterpretation of the original 1969 Levi's classic, the 517 boot cut. Authentically vintage at heart and anticipated by many Levi's original enthusiasts, each and every pair is unaltered from the original 517 design and made from pre-loved up-cycled 517 jeans. In its more sensible and sustainable approach, very limited quantities will be made available and much alike to a priceless piece of art - each pair is individually numbered and labeled, embracing every peculiarity and making each and every one inimitable.
Senior Market Editor of NET-A-PORTER Libby Page announces “The Levi’s for Valentino collaboration is arguably the most covetable denim to own this season. We love how Pierpaolo Piccioli has reimagined the timeless 517 style to make it fresh and relevant for today. It’s an immediate and clever response to what our customer wants right now and we are thrilled to be the exclusive global partner for the launch.”
The Valentino and Levi's collaboration will extend itself to mens styles, as Daniel Todd the Buying Manager for MR PORTER states, “We are excited to be launching the highly anticipated Levi’s® for Valentino collaboration on MR PORTER –as if the original styles weren’t iconic enough, these new interpretations breathe life into a classic model, championing the craftsmanship and design we know our customers will respond to.”
