NET-A-PORTER’s The Vanguard Education Fund is here and this time, Australia, we’re invited

Easily one of the most exciting categories to explore on NET-A-PORTER is a segment titled The Vanguard. Always in awe of new and emerging talent and looking for ways to support and profile promising new designers - NET-A-PORTER's The Vanguard stands as one of the most impressive global mentorship programs to currently exist.

Profiling some of the worlds most forward thinking young creatives and emerging designers; NET-A-PORTER's The Vanguard Program has nurtured some of fashion most exciting names from Christopher John Rogers to those at Commission NYC. And now NET-A-PORTER have proudly announced an expansion to their global mentorship program - this one setting out in partnership with British Fashion Council to launch NET-A-PORTER's The Vanguard Education Fund to further support young designers and nurture our emerging fashion community.

And the most exciting part of this announcement? For the first time, in an effort to truly globalise its network of new emerging talent, NET-A-PORTER's The Vanguard Education Fund will extend its reach to Australia and its fashion program throughout various Universities, including Tafe Australia.

Lea Cranfield, NET-A-PORTER's Chief Buying and Merchandising Officer states “We are thrilled to be extending The Vanguard program by partnering with the British Fashion Council to launch The Vanguard Education Fund. Our goal is to ensure that the next generation of creative talent is given early support to enable their success before they embark on their professional journey – we see this as especially important given the challenges the pandemic has brought to the creative industry and, most notably, at a grass-roots level. We are passionate about nurturing a diverse and representative mix of talent and are excited to see who emerges through the scheme.”

And she is right - we most certainly keep seeing The Vanguard get stronger with each and every development. In addition, NET-A-PORTER sets its heights high in growing this years roster of new talent with more information and details on how to get involved available online at net-a-porter.com. In addition, if supporting young designers or exploring new talent is what you are after, The Vanguard is available as our preferred place to look.
