2023 was a banner year for beauty. We lived through glazed donut skin, glazed donut nails, latte beauty, strawberry beauty, skinny brows and aura blush. But what does 2024 have in store?

High Shine

Lean into a brave new world of beauty with high shine, chrome-like finishes and plenty of glitter. Whether futuristic or more creature-of-the-night, we're predicting lots of light-reflecting metallics in the future. Interested? Ballet-Core

Silk bows, sleek buns, a youthful flush... ballet beauty has already infiltrated the zeitgeist and we can't see it going anywhere any time soon. Cherubic and girly, look towards products with cool pink undertones and plenty of sheen. Expect to see other, similar micro-trends crop up as well: prairie girl, figure skater girl, renaissance girl... Sandy Liang is the blueprint!

Witchy Beauty

Wednesday Adams walked so the rest of us with a soft spot for gothic beauty could run. Spurred by creative artists like Isamaya Ffrench and Marcel Gutierrez, freakish, gothic details are set to become slightly more mainstream. Dip your toes by way of spiky lashes and smudgy liner, or go all out with black lipstick.

Klein Blue

Blame it on Daniel Lee's bright new Burberry, but we're predicting Yves Klein blue might just become the hue of the season (yes, even where beauty is concerned). French makeup artist Violette recently released a Klein-inspired blue eye pigment, and it's primed to take over our glazed-everything manicure obsession. You heard it here first.
