This is not just any bag. The Pont 9 takes license and inspiration from the Louis Vuitton archives. An homage to the past, these notes have been reinterpreted in a contemporary daily bag.
It's a shoulder style that's meant for everyday ease. It has a compact, rounded satchel design with a flap closure and long strap, which are all brought to life in smooth, lightly padded calfskin. But the crowning jewel of the Pont 9 is the exclusive Louis Vuitton Circle, a 1930s archive logo reinterpreted by Nicolas Ghesquière, the House’s Artistic Director of Women’s Collections, and used on both the bag’s flap and strap.
The interior is just as beautiful. It's crafted in sleek and colourful leather and features a smart design with two compartments and two practical pockets. The focus on detail and fine craftsmanship is clear in every aspect from the gusseted construction to the subtle monogram flower-inspired magnetic closure.
In essence, the LV Pont 9 shoulder bag is an embodiment of effortless Parisian chic - beautiful, elegant and absolutely functional.
The bag takes its name from Paris’ Pont Neuf, the celebrated bridge that sits opposite Louis Vuitton’s headquarters. A key collection for 2020, the Pont 9 bag is available from Friday May 29 - today. This special launch also marks the first release of the House’s new LV Pont 9 leather line.
The bag comes in a full collection of striking shades. From an elegant Noir and delicate Crème to a sunset-like Summer Gold and feminine Rose Dahlia. Each seems more lovely than the last.
